About mirror.linux.org.au

mirror.linux.org.au is a sub-committee of Linux Australia, established for the purposes of determining the value of a community run and controlled high-bandwidth static content mirror.

The sub-committee is currently chaired by Michael Still, and consists of Andrew Pollock and Steven Hanley, and acts in close consultation with the Linux Australia committee.

The sub-committee will report back to Linux Australia on the use and benefits of the mirror to the community after six and twelve months, after which the committee will determine whether the project should be ceased, continued on an experimental basis, or continued as an official project.
